Girl, 8, 'abandoned at petrol station clutching note saying she is too naughty'

A reckless mother abandoned her eight-year-old daughter by dumping her at a petrol station saying that she'd had enough of her bad behaviour, it is claimed.

The child was left at the site clutching a note explaining she was 'too naughty' to keep.

The alleged dumping took place in Kabupaten Pelalawan, Indonesia - and she was told to "take good care of herself".

The hunt is now on for her callous parents.

Police say they have had no reports of the missing child, and have not managed to identify the girl yet who is currently in care.

According to the newspaper Kompas, the girl was abandoned at the petrol station for being too problematic.

The cruel note told the child to make sure she "looked after herself" (@cursedwibu/Newsflash)

She was found holding a note from her mother that read: “Child, forgive me. I am forced to leave you on the street as I’m no longer willing to see you suffer or tortured because of your mischief, every day you are causing problems.

“Forgive me, child. Take good care of yourself.”

Meanwhile, officers are trying to locate the girl’s parents to establish the circumstances behind the alleged abuse and abandonment.

The investigation continues.
