A seven-year-old girl has written a heartbreaking letter to Santa asking him for a home and food for Christmas.
The girl, who has not been named, popped the tear-jerking letter in a special Santa post box inside the L6 community centre in Liverpool.
The hand-written request says: "Dear Father Christmas, can you help.
"Can we have a home for Christmas. Mam wants us to be all together can you give us some food and can I ahave just nice (sic) doll for Christmas. Thank you."
A photo of the picture was uploaded on Twitter by Gerard Woodhouse, a Labour councillor in Liverpool.

He said: "Last week @L6Centre we started getting down Xmas decorations we placed The Santa post box in the cafe until grotto is set up, Today I went into to @L6Centre to sort food parcels for residents while passing post box I looked in it !! Just read a 7 yrs old letter Vote Labour."
