Girl, 7, filmed playing in back of shop moments before being crushed to death by tyre

Footage showing a little girl playing in the final moments before she was crushed by a 90kg tyre has been released as her family continue their quest for justice.

Lily Dorrough, seven, was killed in the horror accident outside her dad's flooring shop in Queensland, Australia in August 2019.

Shattered dad Michael said a tyre was leaning up against a shed on a walkway shared with a neighbouring tenant at the industrial complex in the town of Roma.

It then fell on the youngster, causing critical injuries from which she died a few hours later in hospital.

A clip of Lily playing in Michael's workshop has now been released as he vows to find out who is "accountable".

He told A Current Affair : "My beautiful little girl is gone forever and nobody is accountable.

"Lily weighed approximately 18kgs, and when a wheel five times that weight falls on you, it's not going to be a good scenario.

"It's hard to believe, you think it's a bad dream, you hope it's a bad dream, you think this is not physically possible, my little girl was in the shop 10 minutes earlier."

Video shows Lily and two friends happily playing in the shop in the moments leading up to the tragedy, before they head outside.

It was then that Michael heard screams and rushed outside to see what had happened - and saw the heartbreaking scene.

He said: "I've run straight out the back door toward the toilets, following Lily's friend and unfortunately I've found the tragic scene where a truck wheel has fallen on my little girl."

Michael's CCTV captured his neighbouring tenant driving into the industrial complex with tyres in the back of his truck in the days before, reports A Current Affair.

But Police and Workplace Health and Safety investigated the accident and cleared the neighbour of any wrongdoing.

Michael did not give up, urging the authorities to launch a second probe.

But this came to the same conclusion - ruling no one could be prosecuted over Lily's death.

Michael is still campaigning for justice.

He said: "I want Lily to know that I loved her and I'll never forgive this guy, never forget, and I'll do my best for my little princess."

Nearly 200 mourners dressed in purple released balloons at Lily's funeral two weeks after her death.

Mum Nerissa Higgs remembered her daughter as the "most beautiful girl" and said she would forever live on through their memory.

She said: "Even though the most beautiful girl is gone her smile will be remembered and will be sadly missed."
