Girl, 6, airlifted to Bristol hospital after being hit by vehicle on farm

A girl was airlifted to a Bristol hospital after being hit by a vehicle on a farm in Cornwall.

Emergency services were called to the farm in Camelford near Plymouth after the child was reportedly involved in a collision on Monday afternoon (March 30).

Cornwall Live reports the six-year-old girl suffered injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at 4.20pm on Monday (March 30) to farm land in Camelford following reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a child.

"The young girl, aged 6, was reported to have sustained injuries to her chest and was taken to hospital in Bristol by air ambulance.

"Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or changing.

"The Health and Safety Executive has been informed and enquiries are ongoing."
