Girl, 2, seriously injured in horror fall from hotel window in Blackpool

A two-year-old girl has been seriously injured after falling from a hotel window in Blackpool.

The toddler has a number of fractures and is in a serious condition, according to Lancashire Police.

The girl, who fell from the second storey, has been flow to hospital by air ambulance from the scene in the town's Albert Road.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: ​"We were called by the ambulance service at shortly before 9am today to a report that a toddler had fallen from a second storey window of the Manor Road Hotel on Albert Road in Blackpool.

"The child, a girl aged two-and-a-half, was taken by air ambulance to Alder Hey Hospital suffering from a number of fractures and is in a serious condition."

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
