CHICAGO _ A teenage girl was shot and killed Sunday night by a gunman who approached her from an alley in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on Chicago's South Side.
The 17-year-old was walking about 9:30 p.m. on West 52nd Street when an unknown male emerged from an alley. He began arguing with her before pulling out a handgun and shooting her three times in the head and multiple times in her torso, according to Chicago police.
The teen was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Her killer ran away and has not been arrested, police said.
