A 17-year-old girl was wounded in a shooting Sunday in Lawndale on the West Side.
About 3:09 a.m., she was in the 1100 block of South Richmond Street with a large group of people when someone opened fire from an unknown direction, Chicago police said. The teen was struck in the hip.
She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where her condition was stabilized, police said.
No arrests have been reported. Area North detectives are investigating.
