Girl, 17, missing from Lawndale found safe

A 17-year-old girl that was reported missing from Lawndale on the West Side has been located.

Ashanti Gates had last been seen Sunday in the 1200 block of South Keeler Avenue, according to Chicago police.

Police announced Wednesday evening that she had been found safe but did not release further information.
