A 17-year-old was left throwing up after taking a bite out of a sandwich from Tesco.
Louise Meacock from Old Swan was left feeling ill when she took a bite out of her chicken, bacon and lettuce sandwich and found a ladybird crawling out of the filling.
Louise's mum, Jackie Meacock, described the ordeal as "terrible" with her daughter not knowing whether she had eaten one of the insects or not.

The 43-year-old told the ECHO : "Because it was my daughter it was horrible. You start to see the funny side but it's not funny because she could've even eaten one.
"You expect a sandwich but what else is in there. You want a nice clean and edible sandwich, not to be eating insects."
The stay at home mum-of-two decided to get her and her husband, Daniel Meacock, 50, some lunch from the Tesco superstore in Old Swan on Saturday August 28. When they got home, Daniel decided he didn't want the sandwich and gave it to their daughter, Louise.
At the time, Jackie, Daniel and their two daughters, Louise and Elsie, six, were watching TV in the living room when Louise started screaming and then started to be sick.
Jackie told the ECHO: "I went to get a couple of sandwiches from Tesco, one for me and one for my husband. I got back and I ate mine. Then not too long later my husband decided he didn't want his sandwich so he gave to our daughter and she decided to eat it.
"So we're all sitting in the living room watching TV, she's eating the sandwich and everything is fine. She ate the first half of it and then half way into the second half she starts screaming and being sick.
"I jumped up and I panicked asking 'what's wrong, what's wrong?' and she just screams 'there's a ladybird'. I thought she was messing at first but then here comes this ladybird crawling out of the sandwich.
"It was in between the lettuce and the bacon. I presume it has come from the lettuce when they made the sandwich but I haven't got a clue. I had a look and there really was a ladybird, antennas going as it walked out the sandwich."
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We are sorry to hear about this. Salad ingredients used in our sandwiches are washed as part of the preparation process, and we’d ask the customer to bring the packaging back into store, so our colleagues can provide a refund and investigate further.”
