A 17-year-old girl has died in a country park, police have confirmed.
Nottinghamshire Police were called to Broxtowe Country Park at around 7am on Wednesday morning (June 17), following a report of her sudden death.
The force added her death is not being treated as suspicious and her family have been informed.
A cordon was set up at the park on Wednesday morning as police investigated, but it has since been removed.
Inspector Charlotte Allardice said: “Nottinghamshire Police were called to Broxtowe Country Park shortly after 7am today (June 17) following a report of the sudden death of a 17-year-old girl.
“Her death is not being treated as suspicious at this time. Her family has been informed.”
