A 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted Wednesday morning in Lawndale on the Southwest Side.
Authorities were called about 8 a.m. for a call of a criminal sexual assault in the 2400 block of South Kostner Avenue, according to preliminary information from Chicago police and fire officials.
She was taken to St. Anthony’s Hospital for treatment, a fire official said.
A police spokesperson said detectives were reviewing surveillance video in the area.
