A 16-year-old girl was treated at the scene by paramedics before she was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

The girl died in hospital, NSW Police said in a statement on Saturday afternoon.

A 16-year-old boy was treated at the scene for leg injuries, before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in an ambulance. He was in a stable condition, NSW police said.

Police established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic police. Inquiries into the incident continue.

The Toyota driver, a 42-year-old man, was not injured and taken to Bowral Hospital for mandatory testing. He has been released pending further inquiries.
