A teenage girl has died after she was found dead.
Police were called by paramedics to a house on Crossdale Road, Breightmet, Bolton , shortly after 3pm this afternoon.
The 16-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, police confirmed.
A police spokesman said the girl’s death was not being treated as suspicious.
A file of evidence is now expected to be drawn up and handed over to a coroner.
The house was sealed off by police for initial investigations and officers were stood on guard outside.
In a statement, GMP said: “At 3.05pm, police were called by the ambulance following reports the body of a girl had been found at a house on Crossdale Road, Breightmet.
“Officers attended and a 16-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene. At this stage, there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.”
