Girl, 15, missing from Aurora since December

Authorities are looking for a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for nearly two months from west suburban Aurora.

Jenifer Gonzalez left her Aurora home on Dec. 8, 2019, and has not returned since, according to a statement from Aurora police. Her family reported her missing in December and has not heard from her in several weeks.

Police said Gonzalez has run away before, but has typically contacted her family while she was gone and returned after a few days.

Investigators have followed up on multiple leads about her disappearance but have been unable to locate her, police said. She is now considered an endangered missing person.

Anyone with information about her is asked to call Aurora police at 630-256-5000 or dial 911.
