Girl, 14, suffered head injury after being attacked by five people

A 14-year-old girl suffered head injuries when she was attacked by a group of five people.

Police have launched an appeal to find a key witness to the incident in Keynsham, between Bath and Bristol.

Avon and Somerset Police said the attack happened in St Clements Road between 2.30pm and 2.45pm on Sunday (September 19).

Police said in a statement: "We’re appealing for a key witness to come forward following an assault on a 14-year-old girl in Keynsham.

"The victim, who suffered a head injury, was attacked by a group of five other young people, including two boys on electric scooters.

"While giving her official statement, the victim mentioned that a woman with a small child may have witnessed or walked past the incident while it was happening – and we would very much like to identify this witness."

Police hope the witness herself, or anybody else who have seen information, to call police on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5221218273.
