Girl, 13, rushed to hospital after being hit by car on Scots street

A teenage girl was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car on a Scots street.

Emergency crews raced to Buckstone Terrace in Edinburgh around 5pm last night after the 13-year-old was struck by the vehicle.

Police and ambulance units were spotted at the scene last night.

It has now emerged the teen was treated for an arm injury after being rushed to hospital by paramedics.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We were called to a report of a teenage girl being struck by a car on Buckstone Terrace in Edinburgh around 5pm on Monday, 21 June.

"The girl, aged 13, sustained an arm injury and was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh by the Scottish Ambulance Service.”

The severity of the injuries to her arm is currently unknown.
