Girl, 12, rushed to hospital after being hit by car in Fife town

A 12-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Fife.

Emergency services were called to the collision in Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Road at around 8.45am on Wednesday.

Police said the girl has been taken to hospital after emergency crews rushed to the scene.

Local reports shared on social media suggest the incident happened at a set of traffic lights near Kirkcaldy train station.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.45am on Wednesday, 15 September, we received a report of pedestrian having been hit by a car on Victoria Road in Kirkcaldy.

“Emergency services attended and a 12-year-old girl was taken to hospital as a precaution.”
