Girl, 12, reported missing from Llanelli

UPDATE: Shannon Leahy has been found safe and well.

A 12-year-old girl has gone missing from the Llanelli area.

Shannon Leahy was last seen in the Llanelli area at approximately 11am on Monday and and police say concern is growing for her welfare.

Dyfed-Powys Police are now appealing for help to locate the missing teenager.

In a statement a force spokesman said: "Shannon is described as being 5ft 3ins tall and of slim build, with brown shoulder-length hair (tied in a bun).

"She was last seen wearing black leggings, a black and green checked shirt, and a black T-shirt with an image of a wolf on the front."

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Shannon is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 197.
