A man has been arrested after an 11-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in broad daylight in Paisley .
Cops were called to Clarence Street in the Renfrewshire town at around 3.30pm yesterday.
Following the incident a 32-year-old male was arrested and charged with sexual offences.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court later today.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police can confirm that a 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged with sexual offences following an incident which took place on Clarence Street, Paisley around 3.30 pm on Wednesday 17 July 2019.
"He is due to appear in Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday 18 July 2019.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
