Girl, 11, injured after being struck by minibus outside Offaly school

A young girl was injured after being struck by a minibus outside a school in Offaly on Tuesday.

The incident happened on St Marys Road in Edenderry at around 1pm.

The girl was taken to Tullamore General Hospital, where her injuries are described as non-life threatening.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating a road traffic collision involving a mini bus and a female child, 11 years, that occurred on St. Marys Road, Edenderry, on 22/09/2020 at approximately 1pm.  

"The injured girl has been taken to Tullamore General Hospital with non life threatening injuries.     

"Investigations are ongoing."
