Police are appealing for information after a young girl was involved in an alleged hit and run.
The collision took place on Harrow Road in Maindee, Newport, on Wednesday April 24, at around 8.45pm.
The 11-year-old collided with a silver Volkswagen Golf and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Gwent Hospital for treatment.
A 29-year-old man, from the Newport area, was arrested and charged with failing to stop following an accident and driving without due care and attention.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police, said: "We are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen the vehicle in the area at the time to come forward.
"Anyone with information, or dash cam footage, is asked to call Gwent Police on 101, quoting log 496 of 24/04/19."
The man is due to appear at Newport Magistrates' Court on May 14.
