Girl, 11, 'abducted' by masked motorist and 'dragged into woods' near park

An 11-year-old girl was allegedly abducted by a masked motorist before being 'dragged' into woods at a beauty spot.

Police were called to Park Hall Country Park in Stoke-on-Trent in the UK after reports that a schoolgirl had been 'snatched'.

An investigation has now been launched into the concerning incident, Mirror.co.uk reports.

There has now been appeal for sightings of a small white car in Pillar Close, Onsetter Road, and Dividy Road, in Bentilee, at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, July 28.

One relative said on social media: "The guy knew what he was doing as he had a black scarf covering his face.

"He eventually dragged her into the woods at Park Hall and she was able to run and call for help. The police managed to get to her."

Staffordshire Police are yet to make an arrest, reports StokeonTrent Live.

A police spokesman said: "We have received a report and officers are currently investigating. A girl is safe and well.

"We understand some people will be concerned but officers are continuing with their inquiries and will provide an update in due course."

Anyone who saw the girl in Bentilee or at Park Hall Country Park should call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
