Girl, 10, who was struck by ambulance days before Christmas dies in hospital

A 10-year-old girl who was hit by an ambulance days before Christmas has died.

The ambulance was responding to an emergency call at the time of the collision in Bulwell, Nottinghamshire, at 6.30pm on Sunday 22 December.

The girl, who was a pedestrian, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Nottinghamshire Police offfered condolences to the girl's family and said they had asked for privacy.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has any information or dashcam footage is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 650 of 22 December.
