A 10-year-old girl was rushed to hospital after being hit by a motorbike that failed to stop in Livingston.
The youngster was struck by the vehicle on a footpath between Logan Way and Morrison Way in Knightsridge, around 7.40pm on Saturday.
She was taken to hospital for treatment and the extent of her injuries is not known.
Police are hunting for two suspects following the hit and run. They are believed to be between 18 and 19-years-old, with one driving a blue and white motorcycle.
Officers say extensive enquiries remain ongoing to trace the pair and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Inspector Kylie Barnard, of Livingston Police Station, said: “The victim and her family have been left shaken by this incident and we are appealing for information to trace those responsible.
“We are also keen to hear from anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage.
“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3223 of 6 August.
“Alternatively, a call can be made anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
