Giovanni van Bronckhorst opens up on '24-hours of stress' at Rangers

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has admitted managing Rangers was 24 hours of stress and revealed he has turned down several jobs since he was axed at Ibrox.

The Dutchman was sacked by Rangers a year ago and has been without a club ever since. But the ex-Arsenal and Barcelona ace insists he has had plenty of offers, but has chosen not to accept any new role.

He explained: "The past year has been good for me. Being a manager there was a 24 hours a day job with stress. I like being at home now without worries and stress. I like that.

"I said no to clubs a number of times this year. It was important to rest and be at home.

"The offer from a club where I thought: 'I'm going to put my energy into that' has not yet come along. But I remain open to a new adventure.

"It would have been nice to start at a club in the summer, but sometimes that is not possible."

Van Bronckhorst has managed Feyenoord, Guangzhou R&F and Rangers and won the Eredivisie with the Rotterdam club and a Scottish Cup with Rangers, who he also led to the final of the Europa League last year.

Meanwhile, Former Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos could be set to finally kickstart his career in Brazil tonight...because of the amazing Santos medical staff after he was expected to be out until next year.

The Colombian hitman has endured a nightmare start to his time at Santos following his return to South America after playing just two matches and failing to score.

He arrived with an injury then quickly picked up a calf injury which was expected to rule him out until January.

But he has returned to full training and has been named in the Santos squad for their match today against Rio de Janeiro giants Fluminese.
