Giovanni van Bronckhorst excited for PSV test as he provides Rangers squad update

Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst admits his side have to manage the pressure of the Champions League play-off as he provided a fresh squad update.

The Light Blues welcome PSV to Ibrox tomorrow night in the first leg of their two-legged showdown with the winner landing the big prize of a spot in Europe's elite competition. The Dutch giants overcame Monaco in the last round to reach this stage while Gers came back from a two-goal deficit in the first leg to complete a 3-2 comeback win over Union SG.

They find themselves potentially just 180 minutes away from joining rivals Celtic in the competition proper with Ange Posteocoglou's men earning direct entry from their Premiership triumph last season. Van Bronckhorst is determined to lead Rangers back to Europe's top table and he can't wait for the challenge of facing PSV.

Speaking in his media press conference, the Rangers boss said: "We have watched a lot of PSV, they have new additions to the squad and play a little different to last year. They have a lot of experience and have a clear way of playing. Very comfortable on the ball. A really good side and we will face a difficult opponent. We want a good result for the second-leg, but this is also true if we are away first.

"The Champions League is the place everyone wants to be involved in club football, I want to bring this club to the highest level of European football.

"This play-off is a game with a lot of pressure for both teams that you have to manage.

"I'm really looking forward to it, these are the challenges you look forward to in your career.

"The support here is a big factor, it becomes even stronger and more hectic with a strong performance on the pitch. That is what we have to achieve, we know our fans will be there for us.

"PSV had a great game against Monaco to reach this stage. The desire PSV will have to reach the group stages is very similar. It is a big game for both clubs. I'm sure you will see a PSV and Rangers team giving it everything, it is set up for two great games."

Ryan Kent and James Sands returned to Rangers training earlier today and the Dutchman confirmed both are available with a full squad to choose from.

He added: "We have everyone available for tomorrow and look forward to the challenge we face. James Sands and Ryan Kent will return to the squad."
