Giovanni Pernice laughs off Emily Atack snog as pics emerge of the pair 5 years ago

Giovanni Pernice has seemingly laughed off reports he enjoyed a smooch with Emily Atack earlier this week.

The Strictly Come Dancing champion, 31, used ABBA's hit single Mamma Mia to send a cryptic message to his fans on Thursday afternoon.

It's been reported that the Italian dancer and Emily, 32, enjoyed a smooch at a BRITs afterparty on Tuesday night.

Since the rumours that The Inbetweeners actress is the latest famous lady to catch Giovanni's eye, throwback snaps of the potential new couple five years ago have remerged.

An onlooker at the same party as the two stars on Tuesday night told The Sun : "Gio and Emily were snogging the faces off each other. Their hands were everywhere and they were absolutely loving it."

Posting to his Instagram Stories on Thursday, Giovanni - who split from Love Island's Maura Higgin's last year - seemed to laugh off the reports.

Sharing a Memoji of himself crying-with-laughter, the professional dancer used following lyrics from the ABBA hit single Mamma Mia as a soundtrack: "Mamma Mia, here I go again. My, my, how can I resist you? Mamma Mia, does it show again? My, my, just how much I've missed you?"

Giovanni wrote "That's all..." underneath his Memoji and the song's lyrics.

The star's social media update comes two days after he was allegedly seen getting close with the actress and comedian Emily - who he is yet to follow on Instagram.

The Sun reported that the pair "were all over each other" during a wild BRITs afterparty at London nightclub The Box

As speculation about the pair grows, old pictures of them enjoying a night out together five year ago have resurfaced.

In the snaps, taken in November 2017, Giovanni and the former Dancing on Ice star can be seen leaving Soho House in London at 1.54am - sharing a taxi together away from the London celebrity hot spot.

Snapped returning to his Strictly Come Dancing tour commitments on Thursday, Giovanni seemed unbothered by the rumours about his love life - giving the cameras a thumbs up and a big smile.

The BBC star, who lifted the Glitterball trophy with Rose Alying-Ellis last year, has previously dated Ashley Roberts, Maura Higgins Jessica Wright and Georgia May Foote.

Giovanni has spoken out in the past about rumoured romances, after he split with reality TV star Maura a few weeks into his last stint on Strictly Come Dancing.

"Always wanting to speak the truth over here," he wrote on Instagram in November, after it was speculated he was dating Made in Chelsea star Verity Bowditch.

"It's news to me that I am dating, didn't know anything about it. At the moment, as you know it's all about dance dance dance which is wonderfullll darling."

He added: "That's the reality, no drama here. Have a great day – 'THE SUN' is shining! Gio x." [sic]

Over the years, Emily has been linked to Dougie Poynter, Seann Walsh and Harry Styles and most recently, Manchester City heartthrob Jack Grealish.
