Giovanna Fletcher had explained how a brief split from her husband Tom while they were still dating convinced her they were meant to be together.
The I'm A Celebrity winner, 35, first met the McFly musician, also 35, at the age of 13 and they dated on and off for years.
However, they split up and were apart for 14 months - and during this time, Giovanna dated someone else but realised she still had feelings for Tom.
She told Heat magazine: "There was just something about him.
"I had a boyfriend for the 14 months we weren't together, but Tom was always there.
"We never left each other alone really...
"When I met the McFly boys for the first time, Dougie (Poynter) said to me: 'He literally talks about you non-stop.'
"And I remember being in Namibia (doing charity work) and thinking about Tom more than I did my boyfriend."
After getting back from the month-long trip, Giovanna ended her relationship with her boyfriend and got back together with Tom.
They have been together ever since, marrying in 2012 and becoming parents to three kids together.
When asked if the couple's relationship is still passionate, she laughed: "Give off, I've had three kids.
"Best friends and comfort is where I'm at and we're both really happy with that."
The pair are parents to three boys, Buzz, Buddy and Max, and Giovanna has turned her life as a mum into a career as a successful blogger and author.
