Giovanna Fletcher overcome with emotion as 'lost' unpublished book is recovered

Giovanna Fletcher was overcome with emotion after the unpublished book she thought she lost was recovered.

The 36-year-old author thought she lost the file which contained her unpublished work but, thanks to a little help, she got it back.

The picture, which her husband Tom Fletcher uploaded to his Instagram, came a few days after the star took to social media to tell fans she’d lost 12,000 words of her book.

"After going through any authors worst nightmare - the computer with your half-written, NOT BACKED UP novel on totally dies - this was the moment @mrsgifletcher got her book back thanks to the brilliant efforts of two wizards, Alex and James," her hubby wrote.

"Absolute heroes! This book had better be a good one, honey!"

On her page, Giovanna shared a clip of how excited she was to recover the lost work while Tom filmed.

She had tears in her eyes in the video and laughed in shock.

She had her head in her hands (Instagram)

"Oh my gosh!!! I am so thankful to the miracle workers who retrieved my book file for me!!! I have it back!!! I HAVE IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!" she captioned the post.

"I am now emotionally drained after a weird and difficult week. Relieved it’s ended on this note... even if I do still just want to cry. Xxx"

The I'm A Celeb winner continued: "P.S. @tomfletcher has made me save it to the cloud like a everyone else does (I’ve never trusted the cloud before but I hear he could be my friend and keep my work safe in future!)

"P.P.S - huge thanks to the Apple team for trying to help, but most of all a ginormous thanks to James and Alex who are behind this reunion of book and author happening.

"Basically just sent Alex a love letter in response. Waaaah... I am spent. Xxx"

Tom joked she should be backing up her work on iCloud, but Giovanna didn't have time for his jabs and told him: "Now is not the time for a lecture."

Tom then tells the camera: “This is an author who has got her book back,” to which Giovanna responds: “I am so happy and so relieved but it’s been such a tough week.”
