Giovanna and Tom Fletcher’s son Buzz hospitalised after fracturing wrist in bike fall

Giovanna and Tom Fletcher have shared details of an incident which led to their son Buzz being rushed to hospital.

The six-year-old eldest child of the McFly singer and current I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Queen of the Jungle, required treatment for a fractured wrist after a fall from his bike.

It was the second time that Buzz has suffered an injury during the lockdown which led to his parents rushing him to hospital so that he could have his arm put into a wrist splint.

Tom shared the news on his Instagram page, with a photo of him and Giovanna along with Buzz, who proudly holds up his injured arm to the camera.

As Giovanna worryingly points to her son, Tom is seen face palming as he joked that the injury gave them a couple days off their homeschooling duties.

Tom captioned the post: "Well, a fractured wrist is one way to get out of homeschooling♂️.

"His second bike related lockdown injury. Thanks to all the docs, nurses and staff at the hospital. #nhs."

As fans sent their sympathy and well wishes to Buzz, there were some that joked that the quickest way to heal a fractured wrist was "lots of ice cream".

Giovanna and Tom, who have been together since meeting at theatre school when they were 13, also have Buddy, four, and Max, two.

Speaking to The Sun recently, Tom said that he and Giovanna have taken to singing together and have considered duetting on a song.

He said: “The band has always been my priority. But we love singing with each other. We’ve done YouTube videos before for fun, so who knows?

“We have talked about duetting before. It’s just time. We’d have to find something that excites us both.”
