Tottenham transfer target Giovani Lo Celso has been included in the Real Betis squad for their pre-season tour to Morocco.
Spurs have been heavily linked with the Argentine midfielder since the start of the transfer window, with the player said to be keen to make the move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in order to play under fellow countryman Mauricio Pochettino. Talks between the two clubs are ongoing.
The 23-year-old was not included in the club's last squad for their tour of Mexico, causing excitement among Spurs fans and speculation that a deal to take him to North London may be close, but the omission was likely to be due to an extended break after the Copa America.
Lo Celso only joined the Spanish club on a permanent deal at the start of the summer, but a significant offer will force Betis' hand in selling the midfielder, who impressed on loan last season.
It is believed that the Argentinian has a release clause of £88m in his contract, however, the Spanish club are reported to be willing to accept an offer in the region of £60m.
Betis play Raja Casablanca in a friendly tonight (Sunday), before hosting Las Palmas on Wednesday evening.
Also included in the squad is former Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir, who signed for the club in an £18m deal earlier in the window, and was believed to be a replacement for Lo Celso.
Tottenham have until 5pm on Thursday to complete any deals before the transfer window shuts.
