Kenny Miller reckons former Rangers teammate Gio van Bronckhorst is the clear frontrunner to step into the Ibrox hot seat.
Van Bronckhorst is the heavy favourite to succeed Steven Gerrard after the English boss' departure for Aston Villa was confirmed on Thursday morning.
He flew to London for talks to discuss a return to Scottish football after a trophy-laden spell as a player in Glasgow.
Miller, who played alongside van Bronckhorst during his time at Ibrox, believes his previous record in Govan will be a huge appeal for the Dutchman.
The former Rangers striker was playing his cards close to his chest on BBC Sportsound when quizzed about the move, but he offered a positive stance on the meeting.

Miller said: “I think it’s one that looks a decent fit.
"Obviously talks have taken place, and I’m sure they are progressing nicely.
“I think it would be a good role for both parties. I think Giovanni will look forward to renewing his relationship with Glasgow Rangers.
“Obviously he had some successful moments here under Dick Advocaat, and he’s an experienced coach now.
“He’s been a coach, he’s been a manager, and he’s had success. Time will tell."
However, Miller insists there are plenty of strong candidates waiting in the wings to step into the Scottish Premiership champions' dugout.
"I think there is a lot of candidates who look like a good fit on paper.
“Frank Lampard is one, I think even John Terry. These two in particular are a similar profile to Steven Gerrard.
“In the ex-players you have Gio, you have Rino Gattuso, and you even have people like Ronald Koeman being mentioned.
“There are a lot of good names in the frame, but I think Gio is the frontrunner.”
