Gino D'Acampo breaks silence after My Pasta Bar goes into liquidation

Gino D'Acampo has broken his silence after his venture My Pasta Bar went into liquidation.

Liquidators are being called in due to the business, founded in 2012, owing £4,939,332 to 49 creditors, reports The Mirror.

The Mirror approached a representative for Gino D'Acampo for comment, but had not received a response by the time of publication.

Gino, who has been on holiday with his family on the island of Sardinia, has now spoken out about the situation.

In an Instagram video, the celebrity chef is clearly not happy.

Talking to his many followers, Gino said: "Now I don't usually do stuff like this but I thought, let me set the record straight here.

"About 10 years ago I opened a business called pasta bar which is serving Italian food very fast in the centre of London three little shops we tried it and then covid came around and I thought you know what?

"We had to close, there's no point to pursue with the idea which, by the way, I absolutely love, and I will continue with that with another business."

Gino continued the pasta bar business has nothing to do with his restaurant business, or in fact, any of his other businesses.

He added: "It's a standalone business, gone into liquidation, we have to move on. This is what business is all about.

"Sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

"The restaurant business is going really, really well. So much so that this year alone I'm going to be opening three mega sites, and one I'm going to open in Italy.

"The other thing as well I want everybody to know. I've always wanted to open a restaurant in Alderley Edge and two days ago we did it."
