
The ginkgo nuts along Midosuji Avenue in Osaka City have turned gold, as the city's main street is gradually becoming tinged with autumn colors.
The 4.2-kilometer-long section connecting the Umeda and Namba districts is lined with 972 ginkgo trees, about 250 of which are female and produce nuts, according to the municipal government.
The avenue is treasured as part of the historical landscape that symbolizes modern Osaka.
