Gini Wijnaldum in PSG nightmare after Liverpool exit as French giants 'in talks' to replace midfielder already

It's reported that Paris Saint-Germain are already in talks to replace summer signing Gini Wijnaldum.

The Dutch international left Liverpool at the end of his contract, signing a big money deal in the French capital after being close to Barcelona.

The 30-year-old has made just six Ligue 1 starts though and has expressed his frustration with his lack of opportunity.

Wijnaldum said: "I can't say I'm completely happy. Because the situation is not what I wanted. But it's football and I'm going to have to learn to deal with it. I am a fighter. I have to stay positive and work hard to fix it.

"I have played a lot in the last few years, have always been in good shape and have also done very well. It's something different and you have to get used to it."

In addition, French sports daily L'Équipe reported that Wijnaldum has not been welcomed by the South American contingent in the dressing room, who see him as a threat to the popular Leandro Paredes.

Now it seems PSG are considering replacing the midfielder already, as Corriere dello Sport reports they're in contact with Marcelo Brozovic of Inter.

The Croatia international is out of contract in the summer, and while the Serie A champions are keen to tie him down no new contract has yet been signed.

Brozovic would be able to sign a pre-contract deal in January, something which would be a big threat to Wijnaldum's future at the Parc des Princes.
