Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum has responded to rumours he could be reunited with his former Holland boss Ronald Koeman at Barcelona.
Reports have suggested the Spanish giants are preparing an offer for Wijnaldum.
The 29-year-old has entered the final year of his Reds contract with discussions having been on hold for some time over a new deal.
Koeman is in the process of restructuring the Barcelona squad having left his role as Holland national team coach to take over at Camp Nou last month.
But when asked on Thursday about the possibility of moving to Barcelona during this transfer window, Wijnaldum said: "It’s a rumour, I have nothing to say about it."
Wijnaldum, sat alongside caretaker Holland boss Dwight Lodeweges, was speaking ahead of his country's UEFA Nations League clash with Poland on Friday evening.
And he wished Koeman all the best in his new role.
"Of course it is a shame that he left, but we are also very happy for him," said the Liverpool midfielder.
"‘It can be compared to when you are in such a situation as a player. But we have to move on now."
Liverpool have not had any contact from Barcelona over Wijnaldum.
