First there was Greggs most talked about product EVER - the vegan sausage roll - and then came Tesco launching vegan sausage rolls - and they cost less than Greggs'
Well now, if you're not actually a massive sausage roll fan but still love a bit of pastry, Ginsters look set to strike gold with their own vegan offering....a vegan pasty.
The Vegan Morrocan Vegetable Pasty, to give it is full name, contains a butternut squash, chickpea, red piquanté peppers, apricot and date filling and is seasoned with harissa and cumin, paprika and cayenne chermoula paste.

While you can't get a bite of the action right now, you don't have long to wait as the vegan pasty is set to be available from in Tesco, Asda and Morrisons for £1.60 from Monday.
The vegan pasty is a huge first for Ginsters, the firm famous for its meaty pies, being the first vegan product in its 52 year history.
A Ginsters spokesman said: "This recipe reinvention marks Ginsters’ first step into the vegan market and reflects the enormous surge in popularity of veganism in the UK."
