Ginkgo trees at Hikarigaoka Park in Tokyo's Nerima Ward are turning yellow, creating a delightful sight for visitors.
There are about 40 giant ginkgo trees that are more than 130 years old along the Fureai no Michi street connecting Hikarigaoka Station on the Toei Subway Oedo Line with the park. There are also 28 ginkgo trees lined up inside the park.
The trees started to turn yellow around the end of last month and visitors can enjoy the golden-hued trees through this week, according to the park.
"The yellow ginkgo leaves make me feel that autumn is deepening," said Mayumi Suzuki, a 62-year-old homemaker living near the park.
