Gina Miller heckled as she leaves the Supreme Court hearing over suspension of Parliament

Businesswoman and campaigner Gina Miller was heckled as she left the Supreme Court today.

The 54-year-old also received some cheers as she got into her car after proceedings wound down.

Ms Miller’s case is one of two appeals that has been heard at the UK’s highest judicial level this week.

She had previously lost her case in the High Court, with judges ruling that Boris Johnson’s five week prorogation of parliament was “purely political”.

The case is from a group of MPs who think that the suspension was “unlawful”, a judgement that was made in Scotland last week and which the government is now appealing.

Pro-Brexit protestors hurled abuse like “shame on you” and “traitor” at Ms Miller, before breaking into a chorus of “bye-bye EU”.

A decision from the Supreme Court is expected “early next week”.
