Dyfi Distillery is producing and donating hand sanitiser to essential services in the local area after teaming up with other local firms.
The distillery in Corris, Gwynedd, has been working with tax authorities, trading standards officials, government representatives and local MP Liz Saville Roberts to ensure compliancy of the its process to make crucial sanitiser.
The Cameron brothers who established the micro-distillery in 2015 put out an appeal for bottles to produce the World Health Organisation-standard hand sanitiser called Alcohol Hand Rub.
Stori Beers in Bala offered Coopers bottles and Dwr Cerist water bottlers in Dinas Mawddwy came to the rescue, so production could be bottled as quickly as possible.
Care homes, GP surgeries, Mid Wales Cave Rescue, the Police and Machynlleth Royal Mail sorting office have all responded to an offer the distillery posted on social media last week.
Co-founder Danny Cameron said: "We were asked by many companies if we could bottle huge quantities and sell it, but raw materials are scarce, and we needed the goodwill of volunteers as our normal workforce is furloughed.
"We preferred to donate everything we can produce free of charge to support local critical services, as a thank you for what they are doing for the community."
MP Liz Saville Roberts said: "From the local shop to the factory floor, each individual act of generosity will invariably help our local communities get through this unprecedented and challenging period, as we all learn to adapt to this evolving situation.
"I am very proud that local firms such as Dyfi Distillery are part of the wider national effort to protect lives and see us through this difficult time."
