Gimme Him: One player Giants would steal from Redskins

The New York Giants will square off against the Washington Redskins this Sunday at MetLife Stadium, which means there’s a new 53-man roster we get to look over and steal from.

The bad news? There’s really no one that stands out on Washington’s roster that could step in an immediately improve a specific position for the Giants.

Yes, we could debate about Landon Collins vs. Jabrill Peppers all day long, but let’s save that conversation for another day. We could also discuss the theft of linebacker Montez Sweat, but Oshane Ximines has shown enough to warrant the spotlight going forward.

So, which direction do we go? How about rookie wide receiver Terry McLaurin?

Arguably the Redskins’ best player so far this season, McLaurin has hauled in 16 receptions for 257 yards and three touchdowns. And while he doesn’t have the size (6-foot, 209 pounds) the Giants need on the outside, he plays larger than his measurables.

McLaurin has strong hands, runs impressive (but not flawless) routes for a rookie and is making things happen despite lacking talent around him.

With the Giants, McLaurin would fit in alongside Sterling Shepard and Golden Tate, giving the team another quality option at a position that is somewhat thin — although not as thin as some would suggest.

What say you, Giants fans? Would you be on board with the theft of McLaurin or would you go in a different direction?
