Gilnahirk Road West closed after crash in East Belfast

Police have closed a road in East Belfast after a crash on Wednesday afternoon.

The collision happened at the junction between Gilnahirk Road and Glinahirk Road West, before 5pm.

The Gilnahirk Road has been closed as police and emergency services attend the scene.       

A PSNI spokesman said: "The Gilnahirk Road West, in East Belfast, is closed due to a road traffic collision at the junction with the Gilnahirk Road. 

"Motorists are advised to avoid the area and to seek an alternative route, if possible."
