Gilmore Girls fans can visit Stars Hollow and have Christmas lunch at Lorelai's

Warner Bros. are giving Gilmore Girls fans the greatest Christmas present they could ever ask for (aside from more episodes of the show, obviously).

From December 21 2019 to January 5 2020, wannabe Gilmores will have the chance to visit Stars Hollow at the Hollywood Studio Tour in Burbank, California.

Over the holiday period, Warner Bros. will be transforming the backlot into the fictional town in Connecticut and recreating sets from the hit show.

Guests will be able to peek inside Luke's Diner, pose in the iconic gazebo and even have Christmas lunch at Lorelai's house.

If all that weren't enough, fans taking the tour will also have the opportunity to take a photo with the actual Stars Hollow sign from the show, stand in Sookie's garden and explore the town square and high school where the likes of Lane and Dean studied.

A range of exclusive Gilmore Girls merchandise will also be available to purchase in the Studio Store.

Tickets for the tour cost £53.52 for adults (those aged 13 and over) and £45.79 for those aged eight to 12.

Children under the age of eight are not permitted on the tour.

Gilmore Girls ran from 2000 to 2007 and followed single mum Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel) who lived in a small town full of colourful characters.

The show explored many issues, including Lorelai's strained relationship with her rich parents, Emily and Richard and also starred Melissa McCarthy as Lorelai's kooky best friend.

The show, created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, was such a hit with fans that Netflix revived it in 2016 for a four-episode miniseries, called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

Each episode followed the characters through one of the four seasons.
