Gillian Anderson and Peter Morgan have reportedly parted ways after four years of dating.
The 52-year-old American actress and The Crown creator are believed to have had an 'amicable separation', although they are yet to publicly confirm the news.
According to the MailOnline, Gillian and Peter's romance had run its course for various reasons such as juggling very busy schedules.
However, the Margaret Thatcher actress is believed to have remained on good terms with the creator of the immensely popular series and were even pictured together on social media just last month.
The former couple, who both worked together on the latest season of the Netflix show, both have children from previous relationships and are said to have never lived together.
A representative for Gillian and Peter have been approached for comment by The Mirror.
Gillian shot to fame for her portrayal of The X-Files as FBI agent Dana Scully before starring in several other hit dramas such as The Fall.
She only joined the cast of The Crown in 2020.
Her former partner Peter was widely praised for his creation of The Queen before going onto create The Crown.
The couple, who began dating in 2016, had previously set several boundaries before they began working together on the Netflix show.
Speaking to Harpers Bazaar earlier this year, Gillian revealed that they had agreed to not comment on each others work.
"For our own sanity, and actually for the benefit of the relationship, we had very clear boundaries," she said to the publication.
"I am not going to comment on the script, but you are not allowed to comment on the performance!"
During the interview, she also went on to recall the hilarious moment that she smiled at her boyfriend while she was in full costume and he responded: "This is Thatcher! This smile is Thatcher!"
"And I'm like, no! This smile is me!" she added.
