Fans of The X-Files can now bring one of the most iconic sci-fi series of the nineties into the brick-built world, as Lego has unveiled a new set inspired by the beloved show.
The X-Files Lego set recreates some of the most recognisable elements from the series, including FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder’s office, a mysterious forest scene and a hovering UFO. The 1,478-piece set has been designed with adult fans in mind, so OG fans of the show are well catered for.
To mark the launch, Gillian Anderson has returned to the role of Dana Scully in a new cinematic mini-film, where she investigates the Lego set itself. Anderson, who played Scully throughout the original series, said the set was a fun way to revisit the world of The X-Files, praising the level of detail and the hidden references included throughout the model.
The set was originally created from a fan submission by Brisbane-based Lego ideas designer Brent Waller, who developed the concept as part of the Lego ideas ‘90s Nostalgia Challenge. After gaining support from the Lego ideas community, the design was selected to become an official set.
Alongside the main build, fans will find plenty of Easter eggs referencing the show, from the famous “The Truth is Out There” tile and “I Want to Believe” poster, to details such as Mulder’s X-Files dossier and his sunflower seed habit.
The Lego x The X-Files set will be available from 1 August 2026 if you’re part of Lego’s insider loyalty programme, before launching for everyone else on 4 August 2026. It will cost £179.99.

Lego ideas The X-Files set
The 1,478-piece The X-Files Lego set includes eight mini-figures: Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Walter Skinner, Mr X, Alex Krycek, Carl Busch, The Flukeman and a grey alien. The build is designed with display in mind, with Mulder’s office that can be opened up or partially disassembled to reveal interior details, while the UFO is held on a transparent stand to create a hovering effect.
The set can be arranged in different ways depending on how you want to display it, with the forest diorama working as a standalone scene and a removable UFO to use for alternative setups.
