Gilberto Silva teases Arsenal return ahead of Norwich trip with cryptic social media activity

Has Gilberto Silva confirmed he is to make a return to Arsenal in a coaching capacity?

Following the Gunners' decision to part company with Unai Emery following a run of seven games without a win across all competitions, Freddie Ljungberg will take charge of the first-team against Norwich City on Sunday afternoon.

But will Emery's coaching staff also departing, there's one big question that needs answering.

And that's who will be part of the Swede's coaching staff?

Well, there's been somewhat of an insight.

According to the Guardian , Ljungberg will be allowed to form his own coaching staff, which is expected to be outlined on Saturday.

In addition, the report claims this could see the surprise inclusion of Gilberto Silva, who lives in London and was part of the Gunners side which went the whole 2003/04 Premier League season unbeaten.

This might have been confirmed by the former midfielder.

As spotted by some eagle-eyed Arsenal fans on social media, the Brazilian has 'liked' a number of tweets saying that he's been contacted to be part of Ljungberg's coaching staff.

Whatever the case is, confirmation will soon come to light.

Ljungberg and Silva both played under Arsene Wenger and the former has explained how the French legend helped shape his managerial style.

"First of all I told them, quite sternly, that’s what happens in a game like this," Ljungberg told the Evening Standard at the time. "Then I tried to explain to them the little mistakes we’d made.

"But often after a game - maybe I was told by Arsene a bit - (you realise) you don’t always see the correct things on the bench. Before I go and point fingers at players I like to go and see the videos because there could be different angles.

James Benge on Unai Emery being sacked

"I like to be clear if I want to make a point to someone.

"I try to be calm after games and have a discussion 24-48 hours later."
