Gigi Hadid stars in first Burberry campaign for new monogram collection

Gigi Hadid has described her first shoot for London label Burberry as “one of the most fun days I’ve ever had”, adding that she “cherished every moment”.

The LA-born model stars in the campaign for the monogram collection, featuring the fashion house’s logo. It was designed by founder Thomas Burberry and re-discovered by chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci in the brand’s archives.

The shoot is the work of Italian Tisci, who studied at Central Saint Martins, and a British crew including photographer Nick Knight, art director Peter Saville and stylist Katy England.

Hadid, 24, was transformed into four characters for the shoot: the boy, the gentleman, the girl and the lady.

She made her catwalk debut for Burberry in February, having worked with Tisci, 44, during his tenure at French house Givenchy, but has never appeared in one of the brand’s campaigns before now.

Hadid added of Tisci: “It was our first opportunity to really get to know each other.”
