Gigi Hadid is just days away from welcoming her first child with boyfriend, Zayn Malik, and she’s finally shared some pictures of her growing bump.
The model, who is due in September, spent the majority of her pregnancy on her family’s Pennsylvania farm during the pandemic. Now, Hadid and Malik have reportedly traveled back to New York City (and Hadid’s newly renovated apartment), where the 25-year-old plans to give birth.
Although Hadid has shared only a few updates throughout her pregnancy, naturally, her most personal glimpse yet came in the form of a photoshoot.
Sharing a series of black and white photos by Luigi and Iango to her Instagram, Hadid put her growing bump on full display in a sheer dress.
“Growin’ an angel,” she captioned one of the photos. In another set of photos, Hadid added, “Cherishing this time. Appreciate all the love & well wishes. Will never forget creating these special images with my friends.”
While these are the first official photos Hadid has shared during her pregnancy, the model did give fans a peek at her baby bump last month during an Instagram Live for her Gigi Journal Part II collaboration with V magazine.
“I think a lot of people are confused [about] why I’m not sharing more, but I’m pregnant through a pandemic,” Hadid said during the Instagram Live, which she filmed on her family’s farm.
“Obviously, my pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world,” she further explained, citing the pandemic and Black Lives Matter movement as more pressing issues.
“I have been taking a lot of pictures of my bump and sending it to friends and family, it’s been really cute and exciting - and I’ve been trying to document it well,” she assured her fans, after thanking them for their support.
And Hadid also clued us all in that the pregnancy photos would be coming soon. “I will be sharing stuff like that in the future. I’m just not rushed to do it and I feel like right now I just want to experience it.”
