Gigi Hadid's dad Mohamed Hadid has called Zayn Malik 'a great father' as he praised the singer for his parenting skills.
The 72-year-old real estate developer - who recently became a grandfather - has revealed that he has recently met with the One Direction star and is convinced he is doing well as a first time dad.
The touching message came months after Zayn and his girlfriend Gigi Hadid confirmed that they had welcomed a baby girl named Khai.
Gigi's dad shared his thoughts on Zayn's parenting after enjoying lunch in Los Angeles earlier this week.
In footage obtained by the MailOnline, Mohamed opened up about becoming a grandfather.
"I have met him and he's a great, great father to my grandchild," Mohamed said of Zayn.
The dad of five added: "I saw his actions and he seems like he'll make a great father and that's all I'm interested in, to be honest - good to my daughter and granddaughter.
Mohamed shares Gigi, Bella Hadid and Anwar Hadid with his ex-wife Yolanda Hadid.
He also has two other daughters, Marielle and Alana, with his first wife Mary Butler.
Gigi and Zayn appear to have been adjusting to parenthood well after welcoming their baby daughter Khai four months ago.
While they became proud parents in September, it wasn't until January that the happy couple confirmed that they had named their daughter Khai.
The naming clue came when Gigi updated her Instagram bio to read "khai's mom," apparently revealing to her more than 63 million followers know her daughter's name.
Since then, the supermodel has shared several cute snaps with her newborn baby, including a snap of them enjoying a walk in the snow.
While the couple have shared sneak peeks into their family life with their fans, Gigi and Zayn have so far kept their daughter's face hidden from social media.
