A giggling yob filmed his friend stealing a motorbike after police officers turned their back following a raid.
The brazen theft occurred in Wulstan Street, off Stanley Road in Kirkdale , after the officer appears to leave the keys in the ignition of the bike.
Encouraged by his accomplice to "grab" the bike, the young man jogs across Stanley Road, retrieves the bike and accelerates away while the cameraman shouts: "Yes T, Yes T."
According to the commentary, it follows an incident where the officers "all jumped out and tried to grab the lads," and an unmarked police car is visible on the pavement near where the bike was stolen.
Within seconds of the theft, the Merseyside Police officer, dressed in plain black and holding a bike helmet, walks back up Stanley Road and realises the bike is gone.
To the amusement of the cameraman, he also appears to have lost a shoe in the operation, which is firmly wedged under the wheels of the unmarked car.
As the officer tried to retrieve his footwear, the yob shouts: "One foot in the grave mate."
Shockingly, children's voices can be heard in the background of the footage.
It is unclear at this stage when the incident happened or whether the motorbike was a police vehicle or had been seized by officers from a suspect.

As others ask what has happened, the commentator says: "They left the keys in the bike and the kid has just bailed."
Merseyside Police are investigating the footage.
A spokesperson has been contacted for a comment.
